Woodland Project

Location: 50 Acre Wood, Bristol  

Feels like: Amazon deforestation.  

The sign reads; that due to Ash Dieback the Forestry Commission are  

taking precautionary measures to remove trees from mountain bike paths  and bridal ways in case of falling branches.  

From the before and after pictures I’ve taken while walking the dog, it looks  and feels like a clean sweep and removal of pretty much anything living  

over 4 feet tall…  

They are planning to replant native trees over next couple of years…sadly  

I’ll be long gone before they reach maturity.
